Elizabeth “Ellie” Poston is a counsel in the Political Law practice. She advises state and federal campaigns and political party committees on campaign finance and ethics regulations, as well as election administration and voter protection programming. Ellie also has experience with voting rights and ballot access litigation and has represented clients before the Federal Election Commission and various state regulatory agencies.  

Prior to Elias Law Group, Ellie worked both as an organizer and at Perkins Coie for four years. She is now based out of the firm’s Washington, D.C. office advising clients and advancing the ELG mission of helping Democrats win, citizens vote, and progressives make change. 

While attending Georgetown University Law Center, Ellie interned at Equal Justice Under Law and Common Cause. She also served as articles editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and participated in the Institute for Public Representation’s Civil Rights Clinic. She is also a graduate of the University of Chicago.
