Andrea (“Andie”) Levien is an associate in Elias Law Group's Political Law practice. She advises candidates, officeholders, party committees, PACs, and nonprofits as they work to achieve their goals within the complex legal frameworks governing campaign finance, election administration, voting rights, lobbying, and governmental ethics. She also represents clients in federal and state investigations and advisory opinion requests, recounts and post-election contests, and contract negotiations.
Andie’s background is in progressive advocacy. Before law school, she served as a research associate at the national election reform organization FairVote, focusing on presidential election reform, proportional representation, and women’s representation in politics.
Andie received her B.A. from Yale College and her J.D. from Yale Law School. While in law school, she was a member of the Worker and Immigrant Rights Advocacy Clinic and an editor of the Yale Law Journal. After law school, she clerked for the Hon. Rudolph Contreras of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. She then worked at Perkins Coie as a political law associate before joining Elias Law Group upon its founding.
